Independent Learning Centre
The School "Independent Learning Centre" was officially opened in April 1997. The Learning Centre is situated in mezzanine level of the School Library and provides alternative, innovative and independent resources aimed to enhance student learning.
Many students and teachers have benefited from their visits to the Learning Centre, and its innovative methods,. Facilities offered include 2 TV-Video stations, a Listening station, 3 word processing computers, 3 new computers offering the latest CD technology and full Internet access.

The Internet has been readily accepted and many teachers and students have used it extensively for research, email (electronic mail) and in general to improve their information technology skills. Highlights this year included special projects on Mars (Science Faculty), Computer Art (Visual Arts Faculty), Germany (LOTE Faculty), Hiroshima Bombing (History assignment), Tourism and the Northern Beaches (English Faculty project), Communications and Email (Computer Studies, Visual Arts and Design and Technology Faculties).
